Hal & al"s Update
Well, as it has probably become apparent to most of you, we didn't open at Hal & Al's on the 2ND. But like most great things, it has taken longer to pull together than first anticipated. The new date (which is firm) is November 6Th! It's a Friday night and will be during the Beat Oracle which is a super chill , sweet DJ night featuring good music and some old school Nintendo. Come and hang out, drink a beer, listen to some sweet beats and eat some rad dog. we have lots of new menu items including a full offering of sides (hand cut fries, fried pickles, mac 'n cheese just to name a few). The big new dog item is called the Radneck. We take a beer brat, cover it with our own beer batter, deep fry it and serve it on a bun with mashed potatoes and gravy! Yep, you heard us. We'll have some other menu surprises for you as well so don't miss it! see you all there.
hugs and kisses,
Team Rad Dog!

The family grows... sorta.
Good evening ladies and gents! I'm the new Internet Administrator thingy (if you want to help me come up with a fancy title, leave it in the comments). I'll be doing the blog posts, setting up a Twitter account, revamping the Myspace, taking over the Facebook and so on. I'm also Rad Dog Jr. (go nepotism!)
So, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm going to start doing more customer-including internet stuff like questions and possibly a contest or two (I'll bring that up with the Big Cheese.)
If you like, you can put in the comments your name (it doesn't have to be your real name if you don't want!) and your favorite Rad Dog menu item!
I'm excited about getting to know you guys and running the various Rad Dog-majigs!
- The Rad Admin (Sheesh! I need to think up a better name!)
PS: Rad Dog has been featured in 614! Go check it out!

Rad puppy
I'm getting some help! My friend and fellow vegan, Michael McCoskey, will be manning the Rad Dog stand on my days off or on days we have more than one vending opportunity. Tomorrow will be his first solo day out, so go gentle on him. He's was sooo much help at Comfest and it'll be good to have the help over the summer. And speaking of Comfest, I wanted to thank everyone who came out and supported us this past weekend! It was really amazing. I hope everyone had a fun and safe time.
So, Michael will be downtown this Tuesday and Wednesday and I'll be out the rest of the week. See you all then!

Loony for Luna!
Well, as some of you have already figured out, my hunt for an awesome vegan burger has met with much success! I'm proud to introduce onto the Rad Dog menu the amazing Luna Burger (the garden thyme variety). The Luna burger positives? Well, they are made locally with local produce, they're delicious, they're healthy and they don't cost an arm and a leg (and they are of course vegan so they 're not made of arms and legs either!). The negatives? None! Not that I can think of anyway. So, go visit the Lunas at the website and check it out for yourselves.

Teese!
After months of hunting and then waiting I've finally found a vegan cheese substitute that I really like. Chicago Soy Dairy has done it again with there new Cheddar Teese! The mozzarella had come out awhile ago but they were still developing the cheddar... but now it's here! It's available upon request on any of the tasty dogs, sausages etc. And thanks to all my taste testers out there for trying it out and giving me some honest feedback. Happy eating!
New Menu!
I know, I know, it's been forever since my last post. And the "new menu" is really like a month and a half old. But here it is in all it's url glory. The funniest part is that I'm currently adding some more stuff to the menu, so this one is practically out dated now. The new stuff on this menu include the Rad Reuben, Sloppy Joe and pepper rings is the new topping addition. The stuff I'm in the process of adding will be blogged about separately. So pay attention, it'll be coming at you fast. . . .

Weather!
Hey everyone! It looks as though I won't be out today on the corner of High and Broad. The weather is kinda bad but it's also Good Friday, as well as the week of passover and I know a lot of people take today off. Hope I didn't ruin anyones lunch plans. Tomorrow is the Rad Dog/sticky bun challenge at Pattycake so everyone should come out for that. It's gonna be fun. The weather is supposed to be nice! See you all soon.

Spring fevah!
Yes, yes, it's in the air; spring fever and the smell of delicious, cruelty free hot dogs and sausages! And if you're hankering for good music and tasty food come on out to Ruby Tuesdays for the Andy Shaw band. I'll be there, and if you buy a hot dog or sausage you get a dollor off the cover (which brings it down to a meesly 2 bucks!) soooo, beer, rad dog, good music, warmish weather! Now that's a good way to spend a monday night after a hellish day at work, or a good day at work for that matter! Hope to see you there!

Downtown
I know everyone has been wondering about what I'm going to doing about vending downtown now that the weather is warming up.
Well, my plan is to be back downtown sometime in the first part of April. I'll be down there three to four days a week depending on how many events I have. I need to wrap up my current part time job at the amazing Pattycake Bakery (thanks, ladies, for a rad place to work while the weather was crappy!) and nail down my spring event schedule. I'd also like to move one block south to the corner of Broad and High in front of the Huntington building. I'm scoping out a few spots there and I'll let you know the details when I have them.
Also, I'll be starting up my weekly email soon. So look for that if you're on the email list. That's it for now, hope to see you all soon!

Brrrrrr
Well, due to Jack Frost being cantankerous and trying to hold on to the last bits of winter, I won't be at the Clintonville Community Market tomorrow. It's just too cold. I'll be at Gallery Hop on Saturday so come out and get a veggie dog! The weather is supposed to be much nicer. I've got some other stuff brewing this month so be on the look out. And spring is just around the corner!

winter blues
hey everyone,
sorry it's been so quiet on the RD front but the weather and temps have really jammed up the works. i made the difficult decision recently to pursue other winter employment. all this really means is i won't be downtown for lunch for the rest of the cold months. i will, however still be doing other events like gallery hop and the raddog/stickybun challenge at pattycake at least once a month. i'll try to be as active as i can be. keep an ear to the ground for the things to come.
thanks and peace,
tawd

Did Ohio move to Alaska?
well, I don't have to tell any of you, but, it's really cold outside! And it looks like it's only getting worse. So, I wanted to reassure everyone that I will be out in front of Pattycake this Saturday. After all, it'll be in the balmy mid 20's. So if you're willing to battle Jack Frost for tasty Vegan lunch, come out and join the festivities. Hope to see you all there.

not the 8th
Unfortunately, due to the predicted wind chill in the teens tomorrow, and inclement weather, I won't be going downtown tomorrow. Sorry about that. I saw some of my old regulars I haven't seen in awhile today. That was cool. Thanks for coming out in the crappy weather guys :) , I appreciate it. Oh, and one other quick thing; look for Rad Dog in the Alive next week in the Q&A section. That's it. See you all soon!
